Group Study Rooms

There are 14 Group Study rooms in Boole Library for use by UCC Students. These are located across 5 floors.
The maximum capacity per space is six people and the minimum is three. Click on the Button below to see a list of rooms and check availability.

Study Pods

The Study Pods ( 4 available ) are located on Q+1 of the Boole Library, near the Digital Schoalrship Studio

They are booths that can be used by students for individual study or for viewing a lecture or tutorial online.

Booking availability is in line with current opening times.

Boole Library Study Pods

Studio

The Library Studio is a fully automated One Touch video recording studio that allows you to record video presentations onto USB keys.It is located on the Q-1 Basement level of the Boole Library.

The Studio space also hosts a Podcast Studio in a purpose built studio room. It is equipped with sound deadening panels, studio lighting, high quality microphone and webcam.

The Library has a large range of items to borrow. We stock VR kits , Raspberry PIs , Projectors , recorders and much more.

Energy Pod

UCC Library now has an Energy Pod on Q+3 near the Multimedia area.

It is a reclining chair where you can either relax or nap for up to 20 minutes.

A short nap can refresh you and increase alertness and productivity*.

The control panel is on the inside of the arm of the chair. Pull around the privacy visor to block out distractions. Plug in headphones to listen to music.

There are storage areas beside the seat inside the pod where you can store your belongings.

The red and green status lights at the back show if the unit is free (green light) and how long it will be occupied (red light flashing).
