Tour Boole Library's Cultural Spaces (Culture Night Unlock Wonders) In-Person
17:00-20:00: Explore Boole Library’s cultural spaces and discover how libraries develop in response to the evolving educational landscape. Tours begin on the hour and will last approximately 40 minutes. The final tour will be at 19:00.
No registration is required. Tours will begin at Library Services Desk on the ground floor of the Boole Library.
Unlock Wonders: Discover, Create and Preserve: Culture Night at UCC Library comprises 4 varied hands-on and interactive activities. All events are drop-in and take place on the ground floor, Boole Library, UCC. For each event all are welcome but due to equipment child supervision is recommended. Other events in the Unlock Wonders series:
- 16:00-17:00: Drop by the ‘Caring for library and archives’ materials table and chat with our conservator. See, touch and experience behind-the-scenes tools and materials and learn how we care for and conserve damaged rare items.
- 16:00-18:30: Create your own Cyanotype: Choose from an array of source materials or bring your own to create a cyanotype, a 19th century photographic process, more commonly known as a blueprint. At the end of your experience take your cyanotype home with you!
- 16:30-19:00: Immerse yourself in the Digital Scholarship studio showcase via a display of student digital creativity week outputs, light projection mapping, a VR demo with the Oculus Quest, a 3D printing display and Adobe character animator.
