'Discussion on Modern Irish Photography: Helen Hooker O'Malley's Works (1905-1993)' In-Person / Online
Please join us in UCC Boole Library’s Seminar Room (or online) to celebrate the acquisition of Helen Hooker O’Malley Roelefs’s photographic archive, the first of its kind to enter the collections by a female visual artist. On this occasion we will hear from the artist’s son, Cormac O’Malley, about his mother’s life and work and Sarah McAuliffe, Curator of Irish Art Post 1900 at the National Gallery of Ireland, will join O’Malley in conversation. They will discuss Hooker O'Malley Roelefs work in the larger context of Irish Art and Ireland’s History of Photography.
