CREVICE with guest Phil Langero
UCC alumni - Irene Buckley, Elaine Howley, and Roslyn Steer come together to intuitively follow a shared interest in electronic music, improvisation, and the psychedelic nature of the repetitive. In 2017 Crevice released their debut album ‘In Heart’ via Fort Evil Fruit to critical acclaim:
“brimming with pristine confidence and something approaching pop aspirations. It’s a funereal whisper for sure, but it’s probably the prettiest one you’ll ever hear.” – The Quietus
“A vital and beautifully-woven release, spanning a huge spectrum of influence and excavating some profound psychic, cosmic and emotional territory.” – The Thin Air
Back together again with a blank slate, the trio conjure, traverse, and explore sonic worlds— music to get lost in.
Phil Langero has long been immersed in Ireland’s rich underground music scene. His journey began with the urban hillbilly goat punk band Los Langeros, followed by the improvisational chaos of Damp Howl and the surreal sonic explorations of Hawk Bastard. The latter emerged after a fateful encounter with “spectral beauties GNOD” at Leitrim’s Hunters Moon Festival, drawing Phil into a more experimental orbit. This led to a collaboration with GNOD’s Paddy Shine on the spectral acid folk project Moundabout.
This is an early, non-alcohol, all ages show, starting at 5, to allow people to get back into town to enjoy their Sunday solstice Xmas festivities!
