Elevator to the Gallows (Ascenseur pour l’échafaud) is a 1958 French crime thriller directed by Louis Malle. Set over the course of one fateful night in Paris, the film follows a man whose carefully planned crime takes a sudden turn, leading to a tense and unpredictable chain of events. The film is a touchstone of French noir, blending suspense with existential undertones.
Fixity is a project formed by multi-instrumentalist and composer Dan Walsh in 2015, based around the impossibility of repeated moments.
"...defined by its disregard for parameters. Few Irish artists push the invisible parameters of sonic exploration quite like Walsh” - Brian Coney, The Thin Air
"The Things In The Room is a deep experience" “Fixity’s world is one where grooves, rock & roll, noise, motorik, and free jazz all coexist.” - Tristan Bath, The Quietus
“...one of Ireland’s most formidable experimental/ improvisational outfits” Eoin Murray, The Quietus
