Patient-Focused Research in UCC: The who, what and how of available research supports In-Person
This symposium is aimed at UCC patient-focused researchers with particular emphasis on studies linked with HSE South/Southwest Hospital Group settings.
Over the course of the day, attendees will be guided through the research lifecycle landscape with talks centred around the key headings of:
- Obtaining health research funding in UCC
- Contracts and agreements between the university and HSE partners
- Secure and structured Electronic Data Capture
- Quantitative and qualitative data documentation
- Approaches to data publication and open research practices
Increasingly, research funders require data management and data publication practices as key deliverables from the research that they fund. Data protection and adherence to the GDPR in patient-focused research needs to be supported in parallel. Throughout the course of the symposium, signposting to Clinical Research Facility-UCC services will be provided to highlight options available to staff as they look to incorporate Open Research practices into their work in line with funder requirements.
If you have any questions about the symposium, please email b.palmer@ucc.ie
Lunch will be provided from 12:30 to 14:00.
