UCC Staff - Creating Effective Introduction Videos (in-person) In-Person
Introduction videos play a key role in engaging students as it introduces students to you, the module, and what to expect for the semester. The Accessible Canvas Template from Inclusive UCC recommends including an introduction video in the landing page of your Canvas course.
This workshop will introduce good practices for creating professional and effective introduction videos and will cover motivation & content, filming & performance, and equipment & editing.
By the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to:
- Understand the importance of introduction videos
- Develop a clear outline of essential information to include
- Present themselves effectively by understanding principles of framing, lighting, and sound
- Use basic video editing skills in Panopto
Intended audience: UCC staff with little to no experience in video production
