Our Evolving Relationship with Life Below Water

Our Evolving Relationship with Life Below Water In-Person

This show & tell explores items selected from UCC Library’s Special Collections to consider how historical stories, discoveries and ideas from the 17th century to the present shape and impact our world. You'll see maps, posters, prints and books of historical voyages of exploration and scientific investigations of seas and lakes with a particular focus on Cork city and county. The show & tell includes items by mapmakers, artists, conservation experts, biologists and writers responding to the theme of 'Life Below Water.' Our Evolving Relationship with Life Below Water draws on UN's SDG 14: Life Below Water, UCC’s Sustainable Development Goals Toolkit and demonstrates why a greater awareness and understanding of the UN SDGs is required by all.

The show & tell will take place in Special Collections, Q-1, UCC Library.

Registration is essential.
