Research Data Stewardship in UCC workshop Online
Data stewardship is an emerging role within the research environment and has been identified as key enabler of a FAIR research data landscape. In September 2021 UCC Library's Research Data Service carried out a survey of data stewardship activities among the research community. This workshop will present a summary of the survey findings. We will also hear from some experts in data stewardship Joy Davidson, Coordinator for the UK's Digital Curation Centre (DCC) Brendan Palmer, Associate Statistician, Clinical Research Facility - Cork, and Gail Birkbeck, PhD. Candidate, Cork University Business School. This will be followed by a round table discussion on data stewardship in UCC, future potential, opportunities and development facilitated by our expert speakers Joy, Brendan and Gail and joined by David O'Connell, Director of Research Support and Policy, UCC Research and Eoghan O'Carragain, Head of Research and Digital Services in UCC Library.
