Preserving and Sharing your Arts, Humanities, or Social Sciences Research Data with the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI)

Preserving and Sharing your Arts, Humanities, or Social Sciences Research Data with the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) In-Person

Are you a researcher in the Arts, Humanities, or Social Sciences (AHSS)? Research data in these areas comes in so many forms. As a researcher working with AHSS data, you likely have different needs than those in other disciplines. You might not even see your sources or outputs as ‘data’ – but regardless of what they are called, they are worthy of being well organised, and citable, retrievable, and available for future generations to access.

The Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) is a national digital repository for Ireland’s humanities, social sciences, and cultural heritage data.

Join the DRI, CACSSS and UCC’s Research Data Service to find out more about how you can work with DRI to preserve and share your research data (including data sets, oral histories, images, interviews, reports and much more!) You will hear from UCC projects that have successfully deposited their outputs in DRI. DRI will share tips and information about copyright and licensing of research materials, and UCCs Research Data Service will outline the practical steps that you can take to preserve your own data.

This will be an informal *in person* event with plenty of opportunity for conversation and questions, and lunch will be provided. The event will be held in the Creative Zone of the Boole Library on the ground floor.

Open to UCC staff and students. If the event is fully booked, please join the waiting list and you will be assigned a place in the event of a cancellation.
