Open Access Publishing

Open Access Publishing In-Person

During this in person workshop you will learn more about the importance of Open Access Publishing,  the origins of the movement and the different types of OA – Green/Gold/Diamond. You will find out what supports are in place in UCC Library to aid and enable Open Access publishing for our research community. You will learn about the role of CORA our Institutional Repository, what Transformative Agreements and Article Processing Charges (APCs) are and how to navigate funder requirements. We will address the differences between disciplines and discuss options for OA publishing of monographs and books. Ultimately this workshop will help you have confidence when identifying routes to OA for your publications but also help you find support when you need it.
