Halloween Lego Session: Referencing and Academic Integrity at the BOO-LE Library! In-Person
Halloween is everyone's favourite scary time - but facing assignments and research can be terrifying at any time of year!
Come and have some spooky Lego fun in the Library, and pick up handy tips for your citing and referencing in the same go!
By the end of the session, you should be able to:
- Recognise and solve potential problems in citing and referencing information sources
- Quote and paraphrase another person's writing within your own
- Identify bibliographic details to include in references for a book chapter, a journal article and a webpage
The session will involve at least one session of Lego model-making. The models you make first will be a basis for other practical activities, which will help you practise citing information within your work and creating full references for bibliographies.
Participants should bring their own laptops, or borrow a laptop from the Library on the day. Note: If you bring your own device, please ensure that you connect it to the 'eduroam' Wi-Fi network before the session.
