Fake news, AI, and social media: How to recognise dis/misinformation - Lifelong Learning Festival 2026 In-Person

From fake news to deepfakes, we are now living in an increasingly complex information world. It is essential that the information we use in our everyday lives has value and relevance. This workshop will explore the challenges of navigating a vast digital world, and attendees will learn: a range of approaches that can help with critical appraisal of information and sources, how to spot dis/misinformation, and how to adopt a proactive, critical mindset.
