Lego in the Library: Citing and Referencing in Action In-Person
Come and join the Library's new session on citing information within your work, aided by fun with Lego!
By the end of the session, you should be able to:
- Recognise the relationship between consuming and creating information in an academic context
- Quote and paraphrase another person's writing within your own
- Identify bibliographic details to include in references for a book chapter, a journal article and a webpage
No previous training on citing and referencing is required.
Directions: The session will take place in the Seminar Room. Once through the Library entrance, turn right and head towards the central stairwell. Go past the lifts and before the Creative Zone, turn left into Library Administration. The Seminar Room is along to the left from there.
Participants should bring their own laptops, or borrow a laptop from the Library on the day. Note: If you bring your own device, please ensure that you connect it to the 'eduroam' Wi-Fi network before the session.
